Evidence-based support for families and children across Southern Arizona

Easterseals Blake Foundation provides a range of evidence-based programs to support children’s development, strengthen parenting skills, and enhance overall family well-being. Services are delivered both in the home and in the community, and are available in multiple counties across Southern Arizona.

Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Counties Served: Pima, Pinal, Yuma

A home visitation program for families with children from prenatal through kindergarten. Parents receive guidance on child development, school readiness, and creating strong family bonds.

Provided services include screenings, resources, and personal visits from a qualified Parent Educator.

Family Connections

Counties Served: Pima & Yuma
 
Family Connections is a home visitation program for families directly referred by DCS (Department of Child Safety).  Parents receive support in meeting their individualized goals and enhancing their parental protective capacities in order to keep their children safe, healthy, and well cared for. Provided services include screenings, assessments, change-focused interventions, and connections to resources.

Early Intervention and Family Support

Counties Served: Pima

Home based services for children and their families. Supports include developmental monitoring, behavior support, and parenting guidance. Services focus on providing caregivers with the guidance and tools that they need to support children meeting developmental milestones, fostering nurturing environments, and positive parenting strategies

Early Head Start (EHS)

Tucson, Safford, and Sierra Vista

The Early Head Start (EHS) program serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers under age 3, offering comprehensive child development and family support services. Its goal is to foster healthy physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development in young children and to support parents in their caregiving roles while helping them work toward self-sufficiency. EHS programs are tailored to the specific needs of very young children and their families, providing safe, enriching care and connecting families with community resources to ensure a broad support system.

Family Resource Centers

Pima County

Easterseals Blake Foundation partners with the Pima County Parenting Coalition to provide parenting workshops, family engagement activities, and community events at local Family Resource Centers.

These centers are welcoming spaces where families with young children can find support, connect with resources, and participate in no-cost programming designed to promote child development and family well-being.
